Water & Sewer Utilities

At the City of Leeton we are committed to providing safe, high quality water services to our community, while maintaining a standard of excellence in customer service.  Feel free to call our office if you have any questions or need assistance with any matters related to water or sewer services.

New Service:

To obtain water service, occupants must place a $100 deposit. Water service will not be turned on without someone present in the home at that time. Billing occurs monthly and bills are due on the 10th of every month. Bills paid after the 10th are subject to a 20% late fee and may be disconnected. Service that has been disconnected for non-payment will also incur a $40 reconnect fee to have the service started again.

Current water rates:

$11.97 for 1,000 gallons minimum and,

$5.78 per thousand gallons, or fraction thereof, thereafter

For example, a resident using 2750 gallons would pay a water rate of $11.97 + $11.56, for a total water portion of their bill of $23.53, plus tax.

Current sewer rates:

Sewer rates are calculated based on water usage.

$34.00 for 1,000 gallons minimum, and,

$5.50 per thousand gallons, or fraction, therof, thereafter.

For example, with a water usage of 2750 gallons, the resident's sewer portion of their bill would be $45.00.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I pay my bill online?

Yes! You can pay your bill and view your account history, usage and current bill by setting up your online account. Click here for details.

How could I have used this much water?

You could possibly have a leaky toilet or faucet that's difficult to detect. Check to be sure all toilets and faucets are in good working order. If you suspect a leak, contact us and we will send a technician to read your meter to determine any possible leak.

My bill is past due can I get an extension?

No. Board policy does rarely allow extensions for customers with a long history of paying on time. Please contact the city clerk to inquire about this.

Why do I have a previous balance when I know I sent in my payment?

We may have received it after the due date or we may not have received it at all. Call our office and we will help you solve the problem.
