The City of Leeton announces the retirement of long-time public servant and current city treasurer, Jerry McAllister. McAllister has served as City Treasurer since 2014, but his involvement in the city spans decades, including time as city clerk in the 1970s-80s and as alderman in the 1990s. Recently, Treasurer McAllister oversaw the development of an investment program to ensure that city funds were invested appropriately and efficiently. “Jerry has been an integral part of supporting Leeton throughout the years. His dedication to our community sets a great example for others. While he will retire from this official capacity, there is little doubt that he will continue to work for the good of the Leeton community, just as he has done for decades,” said Mayor Taylor Elwell.
The City of Leeton offers a pool adjustment for customers filling their pool one time per year. Contact City Hall at 660-653-4622 to have the sewer portion of your bill credited on your account. Customers will still pay the water portion of their bill and must provide the size of their pool in order to qualify. Customers may only use this one time per year. For questions, or to use this adjustment, contact City Hall at 660-653-4622.
