Notice to Leeton Water Utility Customers

The EPA now requires all public water systems to identify the materials used in customer service lines connecting to city water mains to locate potential lead sources in drinking water.  The City of Leeton, with the Missouri DNR, has hired All Clear Pumping & Sewer to conduct a Lead Service Line Inventory.

Inspection Options:

1. Visual Inspection by Contractor 

  • All Clear Pumping & Sewer can inspect the service line where it enters the premises
  • If the line is copper, a 10-minute lead solder test will be conducted

2. Customer-Provided Information - $5 Credit on your Utility Bill

  • Customers can identify the material (e.g. copper, PVC, PEX)  e-mail photo to cityofleeton@gmail.com
  • To receive the $5.00 credit on your utility bill the e-mail must include the photo, name and address
  • If copper, an on-site lead test will still be required
